Changing the Education System

GED vs GCE There is no need for anyone in St. Vincent & the Grenadines, especially young people who have completed primary school with no prospects for self-development, to believe that once they have completed primary school that all learning ends. You no longer have to resign to the myth that you are "dunce" as is typically the stereotype. The American GED is an equal to the GCE. Wouldn't it be nice if this exam is made available to every Vincentian? It's baffling and suspicious that the persons who have the power to effect change, empower Vincentians, and promote self-reliance and personal development-which comes only through education-totally disregards this very critical aspect of our country's progress. One is left with the feeling that they also know two things: education is power and that they have no intentions of giving power to the people, but to keep the status quo.
